About Area ShowsThere are a few great shows in our area if you are thinking about coming to Mount Vernon and would like to plan an antiquing getaway. April , July and October seem to be the busiest months for shows here.
The Midwest Antique Show and Collectors Eye are held in April (1st Sunday) and October (last Sunday) in CEDAR RAPIDS, IA at the Main Exhibition Building, Hawkeye Downs Fairgrounds, just off I-80 Exit 17. Info: 319-643-2065. www.midwestantiqueshow.com
Hanson's Grove Open Air Antique Show and Sale is held every year on July 4th - rain or shine. Hanson's Grove is located just 8 miles south of Mount Vernon on Hwy 1. You don't want to miss this show.
